Best to look for mast and sail from some older West Coast dinghies that come up on CraigsList every once in a while - like the C-Lark.Tweezermanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06559514473959503645noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4273883632460433399.post-8989713416529070452012-10-31T18:33:16.853-07:002012-10-31T18:33:16.853-07:00Grew up sailing British Moths on the Thames at Oxf...Grew up sailing British Moths on the Thames at Oxford, now living near Seattle, need to find a high aspect Moth rig for the Hadron I want to build, cheap...?Dieharddinghysailorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06416371587101106236noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4273883632460433399.post-20769986762554420492012-10-20T07:47:16.792-07:002012-10-20T07:47:16.792-07:00Small scows are sailed heeled upwind but you sail ...Small scows are sailed heeled upwind but you sail them very much like a dinghy downwind. You want the flat bottom to be level when you are planing. Looking at the sails, this scow could be going upwind, so Tillerman does have a point (but the wind could have eased temporarily as well).Tweezermanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06559514473959503645noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4273883632460433399.post-58426408694178191792012-10-19T10:34:13.087-07:002012-10-19T10:34:13.087-07:00Is it a scow or merely "scowish"?
I am ...Is it a scow or merely "scowish"?

I am pretty ignorant about scows but I thought one thing about scows is that you have to sail them heeled. That thing looks more like a planing dingy with a scowish bow.Tillermanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00639738519386820997noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4273883632460433399.post-75001084489825803622012-10-18T04:20:25.811-07:002012-10-18T04:20:25.811-07:00Baydog,
