Chris Hale of the U.S built a Bunyip IX scow hull several years ago and a slideshow was made of his photographs. This video dovetails nicely with Ray Hilton's plans and building instructions.
Correct me if I am wrong But it seems that the plans shown have a curved bottom excepting a foot wide lengthwise centersection which is flat. The boat in the video shows the bottom panel is flat from chine to chine, It is especially prevalent in the stern view.I have been laying this out on paper before I attempt to build one. Quite a craft!
Edifying. Now I understand the plan, too. So the whole boat is a sealed flotation system, too.
ReplyDeleteGood tunes, as well.
