Header Photo: Champion at Work

The following header photo is of perennial Classic Moth champion, Floridian Jeff Linton, rolling downwind in his modified Mistral design, Mousetrap. I must say that Jeff is one of the most approachable, laid back, sailing hot-shots I've ever come across. He is also one of the few hot-shots (maybe the only one) that is comfortable doing a program where he will personally build his own racing craft out of wood; one of the reasons you can still find him racing his own build Classic Moth.

And another photo of Jeff from the 2011 E-City Nationals.

Excellent description of Jeff Linton. Sailing with (against) Jeff in Classic Moths is a huge treat. He is always happy to share ideas on what works and what doesn't, he sails cleanly and keeps the bar high for competition in the class.

... not to mention, he and his lovely wife Amy handle the lion's share of work running our Midwinter Regatta when they should be preparing for the Everglades Challenge.

Thanks Jeff and Amy!

Good article Rod, I really enjoy sailing with all the Moths. Following Jeff’s various sailing adventures is very educational and his cornhole isn’t bad either. Amy has helped and encouraged me as well. Amy’s stories are amazing. All around good people as are the rest of our Group. Thank you
